The Elite Squad

The infamous 'All Star' team from Portland. What can I say... we just represent all around 2014 futbol baby!!! Not to brag, but we've landed first place for a few seasons now. I'm lucky to suite us up with these lads. Approaching the end of the fall session, I obtained some of the fine elite jerseys. These are from the 2014 All-Star game played at Portland OR. The only downfall of course, is the limitation on finding the sizes for all 10 players on our squad. Regardless, I felt productive doing my research to acquire as many as I could across a 30 mile radius.

Roaming around the sporting store on a weekend, I came across the All-Star jersey's on a clearance rack. Quick to look at the sticker price, it was marked for $37.00. Thought... hmm not a bad deal for being $70-$80 dollar originally priced. But the sign at the top of the rack stated: buy one get one free!!! What!!! Heck Yeah!!! The one I held looked about my size, so I double checked and it was Y-XL (meaning youth extra large). Initial thought was daaaaarnnn. So I proceeded to browse carefully for other sizes—but no success. The store only carried four Y-XL's and one adult medium. I said this is too good to pass up, so I grabbed the kids jersey then made my way to the fitting room (I'm originally an adult small).

What I saw in the mirror was pure astonishment. It actually fit nicely without all the discomfort. I returned to floor grabbing all four youths and adult medium jerseys, went straight to the check-out stand and left the store excited knowing my team will be representing an awesome uniform on our Wednesday's league. We have a few females on our squad, so I didn't second guess whether these sizes would fit them at all.

So as you can see from the images, the outfits turned out amazing. I went as far as telling people we were the reserves for the 2014 All-Stars.

And yes... those are two different color indoor boots I'm wearing. Why you ask? Why not!!!
