La Vineria

Ah, finally able to make it out this this location... Although having experienced their Historic Estate in Beaverton Oregon, it does give a different ambiance. As my awesome barista friend Sara put it... 'They're definitely not struggling money wise at this place'. Couldn't agree more with her. When you step through those glass doors, it's a feeling of walking into a wealthy estate on a hill with everything you'd expect both interior and exterior. Even the restrooms were luxurious. I'm sure if you removed the toilets, sinks, bathroom signs, and set up a table with linen/silverware, your date would still be impressed by the place. Guess it would be awkward when your date needs a bathroom trip only to find one. But then again, these day's we've incorporated unisex toilets.

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful place to visit with friends and that special someone. Seeing how I'm a city guy, there’s no hint of discomfort at any moment during my visit. The staff came off very educated behind their wines and presented a formal presentation. Nothing wrong with that, but this jives more of a transaction feel rather than a relational experience. Again, I'm not talking down or giving this place a bad review. I'd come back to visit these guys soon because of the verity of reds/whites (especially their Pinot—yum) and humble customers. Think it's safe to say, we weren't the only customers taken aback by the luxury, as I did witness peoples reactions at the counter looking around absorbing their surroundings. There facial expressions of delicacy, like stepping on eggshells or cautious of breaking something valuable.

Of course what makes the experience memorable are the people you spend it with. The the 2nd pic from the top comes three fantastic barista's—Nichole, Sara and Andrea. Not only are these girls amazing, but have educated me behind the world of coffee. I've had the privilege to try some of their favorite concoctions which I ended up liking their recommendations. Feel I should repay the favor in having them explore a bit of the wine culture. At least that's how I came to enjoy a great glass of Pinot.

Ponzi are known for their great viticultural innovations to produce remarkable wine. They're backed by a team of ancestry talents which through generations continue driving their winemaking passion towards the public only to experience some of the greatest Pinot's out there.
