While we may not always have control over what happens to us, we have the power to shift our perspective.

One important aspect he said, was that he would never go back and change a thing. Not one second of his accumulated life would he ever want to alter or improve.

An Eye For An Eye…

Again, not just because it’s church day peeps, but more from a separate environment. An open-ended dialogue that we can all share from. During my jog this morning, I heard this quote come up.

Although I didn't see many trick-or-treaters, I did come across a little princess, probably around six years old. As I approached, she gave me a curious look, as she’s trying to figure out my costume.

Counting gray pavements under my feet brings me to the present—it’s visible, its tangible, it’s real. Pain will be there, but manageable.

I’ve also realized some other current outlines that are connected from a past stage in my life. Notable ones to where it takes me to the early years of my life.

To break things and build them again. To begin without knowing how the story will end. To embrace the uncertainty, to trust the process, and to keep going even when the path feels unclear.

Yielding and anticipating the green coming on quickly, I grabbed the gear shift, put it in PARK, took my foot off the break, unbuckled my seatbelt, opened the door (with a bit of a kick)

When the mind dives towards the future, anticipating what lies ahead, my body’s job is simply to listen and move accordingly. Pain will still be there, but more manageable when I stop looking too far ahead.
