Day 1️⃣8️⃣

All this oven cooking and similar routine makes for a dull moment. Even though it makes time fly, it kinda gets old after a while. Seeing my sister and helping her set up her printer with her internet, I was fortunate to have her cook my veggies with her new air fryer. Usually, it would take me about 15-20min to get my seared vegetables the way I want them. A bit more time since I like it a bit charred. She pulled out her fryer and added about 3 cups of veggies, used a light spray of fat-free olive oil, and in 8min, they came close to mine. I think I’ll invest in one soon. Its quick, cooks easily and doesn’t stink up the place like a restaurant kitchen. The air fryer container was a bit small in comparison to the larger pan I use when baking my stuff, so I may look into a larger size. This didn’t hit me of course until I started my diet. Which by the way… I’m lowering my intake this week, thus lower calories consumed. It’s been good so far and haven’t felt dizzy or weak. Few moments where I’d get 1-2 vertigo moments, but nothing crazy.

Today I also had my orthopedic appointment with my doctor. I’m glad I was able to find him. The last surgery he performed on me was back in 2014. For my ACL tear. Never had problems with my knee since. I tried researching the clinic where he used to work, but no avail. I found out he has his own practice now. He was able to recognize me and glad we connected. Told him what had happened. That I hyperextended my other knee and hasn’t felt the same since. It was strange because the pain would come and go. Sometimes days are okay, others I’d have to limp. There were times when I would feel cartilage like floating around there. Dr. Murphy shared his thoughts and asked a few questions. His expression reflected as if he was familiar with this type of injury right away. Def knew I was in good hands. After a few X-rays, twisting my femur & tibia, he knew I didn’t tear any ligaments. My leg remains strong he told me and doesn’t foresee any major damage. Conclusion being… (just as I expected) it would involve the meniscus. He is sure of it, but not 100%. That’s why I need to get an MRI to determine what type of procedure I would need. Dr. Murphy did say it could be one or two things… Either a small meniscus adjustment or a further deep repair (according to the damage I did). One could take about 6 months for a full recovery, and the other about 6 weeks. My goal is to get the MRI this week. I’d want to know for certain what the heck I did. Then Murphy will let me know the exact recovery I’m looking at.
