Who Knew

As I accumulate Adidas indoor soccer shoes (no Nike please), I find myself on a combination high only to accumulate an additional look to my arsenal collection.

Now, I can't take credit to the fullest. The day my brain came up with this, I had a pensive look. Putting on both boots of different colors, the reflection in the mirror displayed innovation. That's when I remembered the cleats worn by the professionals during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and said to myself: “Now I can wear something similar without the studs.” Though I did bring the two side-by-side, the reputation received from the public is an amusing one. People asked if Adidas now makes them in separate colors or if they're from two different pair? Or em I color blind. My answers varied based on how creative I felt that day or who is asking the questions : -  )

From the image, you'll see my right boot is closer to a reddish tone. I apply this towards my dominant striker foot that it is. It got me thinking of our bodies as a whole and how we utilize them. Nothing can be further from the truth in my case. Showcasing my boots below is no different from being shoeless/bare. They're both from my DNA; both destined to do similar tasks; both include five toes/fingernails, both get me to places... But if we look deeper, my feet’s responsibilities differ from one another and it’s circumstances. My left foot cannot perform at the level of the right. The muscle structure varies based on the activities, etc.

There's going to be a more dominant limb over the other; guess it's up to us to choose which color to associate that dominance with. For those ambidextrous peeps I’m jealous. I still say there’s a higher percentage use from a body part compared to the other. Either way don’t be afraid to be a little different. Even if someone looks at you with an awkward face. I say have fun with it.
